John D Rockefeller once said "I do not think that there is any other quality so essential to success of any kind as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature."
Novembers in Colorado usually have freezing nights and snow that rapidly turn the once green flower garden into a graveyard of withered brown stalks. This year has been different.
Just when I and and all those I know, suddenly have our will to stand up for social justice, environmental protection, and common human decency tested and crushed by defeat - I look out on fallen leaves and browning perennials only to discover the ultimate symbol of perseverance - roses in November.
"We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Will we persevere? How will we teach to be as strong as English roses and to have hope?
Perseverance is the steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty in achieving success. The difficulties almost always ensures that at one point in time we will experience failure and defeat. However, with patient persistence success does reach full bloom in all the beauty and glory it deserves.
We teach patient persistence by connecting students with the real difficulties found in:
- training of an equine partner
- witnessing/experiencing the way of life endured by Ancient Puebloans
- training and competing in the sports of Modern Pentathlon
- helping and interacting with those in the community that are in need
- growing agricultural products
It usually only takes one experience of perseverance to remove doubt and build a mindset of determination that does lead to success.
Come visit today and learn how we can help you, your students or clients find that ability to persevere and bloom like Roses in November.
